Giveaway

The picture above is one of those featured as the header for this blog.  It is also included in my collection of card packs.  Each pack has two blank cards, and I’m offering the chance for you to win a pack.  Click this link and take a look at them.  Let me know which pack you would like to win by leaving a comment below, and I will draw a name from the hat on 8th March.  Make sure your contact details are easy to find.  If I can’t contact you you will never know that you have won.

Why 8th March?  Well, it’s International Women’s’ Day.  On that day I’ll be hosting a collection of posts by or about women from all over the world.  You are welcome to join in, and tomorrow I’ll be posting more information over at Chittle Chattle.  The more the merrier

This giveaway is now closed.  Details of the drawing here.

Busy Bees

If you are near to Newport in South Wales you might like to know that I’m teaching the Embellisher at Busy Bees.  We’ll be making a cushion, and it will be fun.  You can download a brochure here, whizz your way to page 28 for information.  If you have already booked, don’t forget to book a machine, there are only 6 loan machines and I’m not sure how many are left.

The above photograph shows part of the class hard at work last year.  I’ve also entered it into the Dark Globe Photo Challenge, just for fun.

By the way, if you haven’t signed the petition yet, please do so.  More information in the previous post.

I couldn’t resist!

There’s quite a lot I want to tell you about, but I’m waiting for some information before I pass it on.  In the meantime, I couldn’t resist showing you these dye pots.

I’m teaching a multi-day workshop called Let’s Play with Dyes.  It’s slightly different, and looks at a variety of methods, including a very easy, but fun, introduction to natural dyeing.  It’s in a short while, so I’m preparing some samples.

Those of you that have done a course with me before might think you know what I’ve done here…….

……. but it’s something quite different!

The next course is for a private group, but I’m teaching it at Urchfont Manor in July  if you are interested in joining in there I suggest you book asap.  (If you look at the photographs there don’t panic, they are not from this Let’s Play with Dyes but Urchfont’s photographs of a previous course)

These samples are not the main focus of the weekend.  I’ll show you the results and some of the others at another time.

As soon as I have that information I mentioned at the beginning of this post I’ll be back to pass it on.  Please watch out for it.
