It’s a busy week

There are several exhibitions etc this week, so make a note in your diary.  The first I want to tell you about is the one at Eastleigh College

It’s always worth a visit, but this year I suggest you go on Thursday evening or Friday if you want a good view.  Opening times are below.  Come and chat, and look at the goodies we have for sale too!  I’ll also have information on the next round of online courses too.

Stitched Textiles Show & Open Days
Starts Thursday 30 June to Friday 1st July 2011

FREE Entrance!

Patchwork, embroidery and quilting are just some of the areas of work on display by students at the Eastleigh College Stitched Textiles Show starting Thursday 30 June 2011 (6pm – 8.30pm), running through Friday (10am – 3.30pm)

For further information call Kim Miller on 023 8032 2140 or visit the show at Eastleigh College’s Desborough Road Campus, Desborough Road, Eastleigh

Looking forward to seeing you there.  Watch out for tomorrow’s post for another outing at the weekend.

A new tutorial

Some of you know that I publish the occasional tutorial on my personal blog.  Well, today I’ve posted the first stage of a new one.  Keeping a sketchbook is a discipline.  Most people don’t do it because they are afraid of criticism, and because they don’t like what they see – it isn’t ‘good’ enough.  Well, this was the exercise that moved me on from that position, and I’m gladly sharing it with you.  You’ll find it here.  I hope you will give it a go.

Do you keep a journal?

I’m not sure if I’ve told you this before, but I sometimes post on this little blog.

There’s a new post today, and it may be of interest to one of you – so here’s the link.

I don’t journal every day, but I do keep a book with ideas and scribbles.  It’s a good idea, let me know if you do the same.
