Well worth a visit

What an interesting day! I visited the Mall Gallery as mentioned yesterday. Make sure you visit too if you can reach London in the next few days. You won’t be disappointed. Not only did I see some beautiful work – I also saw some friends, old and new. What a lovely day!

Just a few pictures to whet your appetite – and a few more here.

Will I see you there?

I’m not used to having a day to myself! It’s surprising how quickly the diary is filled and there is no time left. Well, tomorrow will be different! Even though I’m just back from holiday I will be catching the train to London (yes, I am occasionally let out on my own) and heading to the area around Trafalgar Square. Here’s the reason.
Prism Textiles Exhibition

I had intended to go to the Private View, but sadly I need to be back before it starts….. However, I will make the most of the time that I have and enjoy my visit.

Prism is a group of artists that work in Textiles in some form or another. Their disciplines are wide and varied and if you have time to visit I know that you will find something to suit your taste. No promises for photographs – they often aren’t allowed at Exhibitions – but I’ll let you know about my trip later in the week. Let me know if you visit! Maybe I’ll see you there tomorrow………?

A bit of this…. a little of that….. and..

I’m sure you know the sort of thing I mean. Our workrooms are full of all sorts of fibres, materials, threads, etc. Mine definitely qualifies to be the MOST full, however,  and of that my DH is absolutely convinced! Whether or not it is true is beside the point, however, and I’m pleased to say that all requirements are on hand for my next little project.

You’ll have to wait a few days to see the results, but above are some silk fibres, a couple of chiffon scarves and, currently one of my favourite ‘ingredients’, Vegetarian Silk. I often use the latter with my embellisher machine, but this time I’m using it for something different.

What’s your current favourite ingredient? Is it something you return to time and time again? Is it the new ‘flavour of the month? I’m interested to know – so please either leave a comment, or if you are shy, you can always complete the comment form. No details are revealed to anyone except me!
